
Candidate CPCU Society Membership
If you're not yet a designated CPCU and meet our qualifications you're eligible for a candidate membership. The candidate membership is offered from January through June of the current membership year, and expires on December 31 of the year joined.

It includes many of the benefits of a full CPCU membership. As a candidate member you can:

Attend the Society's Annual Meetings and Seminars, one of the most respected and anticipated educational events in the industry.

Join any of the Society's special interest sections at half price.

Join your local chapter at half price. (Additional meal charges at the discretion of the chapter).

Obtain special group insurance rates for supplemental hospital benefits, excess major medical, personal accident, term life and long-term care insurance.

Receive member discounts for symposia, publications, and other educational programs and resources.

Keep apprised of member activities and Society events with CPCU eLink and the CPCU News.
- Have access to the members-only section of www.cpcusociety.org, the Society's web site.

Qualifications for Candidate Membership
To qualify for a candidate membership, you must:

Have passed at least four CPCU exams.

Be considered "active" by the American Institute for CPCU (AICPCU). (Active is defined by the AICPCU as a student who has had some contact with the AICPCU over the past year, whether it be to request information over the phone, or taking an exam).

Pay half the CPCU Society's annual dues and respective half chapter dues.

Comply with the CPCU Society Code of Ethics.

(Please Note: If you're a renewing candidate member, you'll automatically receive a renewal notice in October for the following year. Membership offers are mailed in November to all other eligible candidates based on information received from the American Institute.)
