 Friends and Colleagues
As the first installation of this "message", I'd like to say that having been a member of this chapter since 1997, I am delighted to serve this year as President. It is an honor. The incoming Officers and Directors are a fine mix of brand new and experienced chapter members, with noteworthy insurance backgrounds. We hope that our varied credentials will enhance the planning of activities that will be of interest to a wider audience. Please contact any of us with questions or ideas!
This year we have lots and lots of new CPCUs currently assigned to our chapter! seventeen to be exact. I look forward to meeting all of you, at one time or another, during this first year of your designation. The Board will strive to reach out and encourage your active participation in the CPCU Society, right off the bat.
The upcoming year for the California El Camino chapter will offer many opportunities for our education and involvement! The first luncheon meeting in August features a presentation by Juan Buendia, CPCU, on "Managing Business Exposures in Mexico". September will be a busy month, with the Society's 63rd Annual Meeting in Honolulu ! surfs up! This is followed by All Industry Day on Tuesday, October 9th. Whew . . . that's just the beginning! There is so much going on between local chapters and national that you too, can participate with an added benefit of an improved golf game!
To close, I must thank the past year's Board for their dedication to maintaining our chapter's strong involvement and achievement in the Society. It has been a good year.
See you soon !
Peggy Brennan, CPCU,
President, California El Camino Chapter July 24, 2007
