A Message from Our President

On behalf of the California El Camino Chapter,
let me welcome you to our website.

First, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing
2010 - 2011 Board of Officers and Directors for their leadership
in the past year, and the many contributions that they have
made to our chapter.

This should be another exciting year of growth for our chapter.
We will strive to bring greater recognition to our chapter
and to the value of the CPCU designation.
It is our desire to bring greater value to our members.
One of the ways that we hope to do that is to continue to provide
more opportunities to obtain CE (continuing education) credits.

Additionally, it is our plan to continue to reach out to a wider portion of the
large geographic area which is served by our chapter
and offer opportunities for our chapter members to get to know each other better.
In an effort to do that, we offered the CE by the Sea event which was held in Santa Barbara
and we are also having a celebration party to welcome and acknowledge
our New Designees at a mixer in Warner Center. We hope to offer other such events throughout the year.

The purpose of our chapter is
to provide educational opportunities
for our members,
to promote the value and visibility of the CPCU designation,
and to encourage and promote
high ethical standards within our industry.
We are always seeking fresh ideas,
and we welcome any questions, comments, or suggestions.

I trust you will work with me to achieve these goals,
and I look forward to seeing you all at our monthly chapter lunch & learn meetings.

Carol McDonald, CPCU, AIM
2011-2012 President
California El Camino Chapter
